Dr Andy Greenway is a longstanding GP based in the Manawatu, where he has served the community for over 25 years. He is a co-founder of Kauri Healthcare, one of the region’s largest integrated family health centres, which provides comprehensive care to over 21,000 patients with a multidisciplinary team of 75 staff. He remains a director and practitioner at Kauri
Andy’s career reflects a deep commitment to both clinical excellence and equitable healthcare delivery. In addition to his work in general practice, he is actively involved in the training of future GPs, mentoring registrars as part of the General Practice Education Programme.
Before settling in the Manawatu, Andy held positions in Emergency Medicine at several hospitals in NZ and across London, and previously worked as a rehabilitation Registrar at Kenepuru Hospital. He also holds post graduate qualifications in obstetrics and travel medicine. His broad medical background supports a holistic and patient-centred approach to healthcare.
Andy previously served as a trustee on the Sir Thomas and Lady Duncan Trust, supporting research and community wellbeing initiatives for those with neuromuscular disorders
He brings a strong understanding of community and regional health needs, governance experience, and a passion for sustainable and evidence based healthcare to his work with charitable organisations.
