Greg Horton MNZM

Greg is a passionate advocate for all things related to Motor Neurone Disease and disability.   

He lives in Auckland with his wife Shelley, and they have three children.

He has a detailed knowledge of the needs of disabled persons, having been diagnosed in 2015 with Motor Neurone Disease and living with the challenges of a disabled person since that time.

A founding partner of law firm Harmos Horton Lusk in 2022, Greg has specialised over his legal career in mergers and acquisitions, takeovers, advising boards and trusts, and strategic advice.

His governance career includes current directorships and trusteeships in entities spanning property, farming, infrastructure, funds management and investment.

Greg is a former Chair of Motor Neurone Disease New Zealand, and he has been involved in many charitable and philanthropic ventures including for the University of Auckland and Saint Kentigern School.   Greg is a member of the Board of the Laura Fergusson Trust Auckland.

Greg was made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2022 for services to Governance and Philanthropy.  

Greg has BCom/LLB(Hons) degrees and is a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand.
