Equipment Fund - Need support with essential equipment?

Grants of up to $4,500 (excl GST) may support:

• Mobility aids – wheelchairs, scooters, walking frames
• Orthotics – braces, splints, compression garments
• Daily living supports – transfer equipment, bathroom aids
• Other items that support independence, movement, or safety

Retrospective funding is not available — applications must be submitted (and an outcome determined) before any purchase is made.

You may be eligible if you:

• are eligible for cann services (have a neurological condition supported by cann)
• are registered (or register) with cann
• are living in New Zealand
• need the item to support daily life or physical function

Some items require a recent assessment from a qualified clinician— for example:

• Wheelchairs or powerchairs
• Orthotics
• Transfer equipment

You can:

• Attach an existing assessment, or
• Ask us about getting one. In some regions, we may be able to connect you with an allied clinician.

You will:

• receive an approval letter outlining the grant
• confirm acceptance of the grant terms
• have cann pay the supplier directly on your behalf
• own the equipment once supplied
• be responsible for choosing, safely using, and maintaining the item
