On Thursday 21 August 2025, the Parkinson’s Clinical & Science Day, hosted by Dr Barry Snow and Professor Maurice Curtis at Auckland Medical School, brought together clinicians, researchers, and allied health professionals from across New Zealand. The day highlighted the latest advances in Parkinson’s science and clinical practice and provided an important forum for collaboration.

We were delighted to have Gilly Davy, Senior Neurological Physiotherapist, present on behalf of cann.

This was a valuable opportunity to showcase the services cann offers, and to connect directly with neurologists and researchers who are deeply involved in Parkinson’s care and research.

Sharing our CORE Parkinson’s package, including early physiotherapy input, access to PD Warrior, and nationwide specialist support, helped raise awareness of the role of allied health in improving outcomes for people with Parkinson’s.

We are grateful to the organisers for including us in the programme and look forward to strengthening links between cann, the research community, and clinical specialists to ensure people with Parkinson’s in Aotearoa can access world-class care.
